A classic natural from Janson Coffee Farm
It's been just a little over a year since we last offered a Janson Geisha in our shop (the previous was a Washed which quickly sold out!). We selected this excellent Geisha Natural lot given that this year, Janson Coffee obtained 3rd place in this category at the BoP and also, a Janson Geisha was used by the winner at the WBC.Â
Profile:Â Sweet with notes of hibiscus, orange blossom, tangerine, apricot and tea.

Origin
Janson Coffee Farm comprises planting areas and a 200-hectare private nature reserve, which includes wetlands that serve as a vital habitat for a diverse range of birds and wildlife.
The coffee plantations are located on the slopes of the Tisingal and Baru volcanoes, with an altitude between 1,350 and 1,700 m.a.s.l. Our Geisha Natural Lot comes from the Hacienda Cafetalera (Hacsa) finca.
About Janson Coffee Farm
This family-run farm was established by brothers Carl, Michael, Ricardo and Peter Janson – sons of Carl Axel Janson who came to Panama from Sweden in 1941.
The Janson’s are firmly committed to the environment. The farm is sustainably run – mountain spring water is used for the washed process; the best pulp of the Geisha is used to produce cascara tea and the rest of the pulp is used for compost to make fertilizer. The dry parchment is used as fuel for the dryers, and the rest of the energy is generated by 400 solar panels.
